Description
Our story starts some 85 years ago, with one man, a big idea and a love for cars. It was 1931 when Bill Brindley first began his enterprise, then called Birches Bridge Garage, selling Morris cars from a wooden shed in Codsall.
It was a time when the world suffered from the Great Depression and many small businesses would fail; indeed, Birches Bridge did close and fell derelict as Bill left to serve in the Second World War.
But this was far from the end. Colonel Bill Brindley returned in 1945 to bring his business back to life. Under his determined and capable management, W. Brindley Garages grew into a popular local business; and it didn’t stop there, either. Over the years Brindley Garages went from strength to strength, a passion for motoring and dedicated customer service pushing the company onwards and upwards.
The 1960s saw Bill’s son Robin join the company, working his way from shop floor upwards to obtain a thorough understanding of the motoring world and the Brindley values and ideals before taking the company helm from his father.
