Description
Your child’s key person regularly observes and assesses your child’s development to ensure that we can provide activities to meet their needs and interests and monitor their learning.
The Kindergarten follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which supports all children from birth to five years. This includes the prime areas of Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and Physical Development and specific areas of Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
At Windsor Kindergarten, we use an online system called Tapestry that helps us record children’s learning and track their progress so we can better support them in their development. Each observation can include notes, photos and assessment based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. Parents are given full access to read their child’s profile at any time and we welcome your own comments and observations.
We take pride in on our close relationship with parents and carers and encourage them to play an active role in this vital stage of their child’s development. We also work very closely with other professionals from the local authority to identify and support the needs of individual children and have a close relationship with all our local feeder schools.
