Description
Abimac UK was formed after there became a demand for front rakes that we were using within our own contracting business.
The story starts when we had a very catchy tricky season in 2014, I was fed up with the rake man getting to far in front of the baler and the swaths getting wet. A light bulb moment was to construct a front rake so the baler could be self-sufficient, the prototype was born. We used this machine successfully, also saving a man and tractor from the field. However, it was only a 6m machine and was slightly too small to keep big balers full in light crops.
We found Abimac an Italian rake manufacturing company of some 40 years pedigree were building larger rakes. A trip to Italy where the two designs came together to produce a heavier duty machine specifically for the UK market.
We purchased one of the new machines and ran it ourselves to evaluate durability and quality. We were so pleased with the machine, as were other contractors and farmers Abimac UK was set up to import, distribute and service the demand of forward thinking farmers and contractors.
